چکیده

Abstract Anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum spp. is one of the most damaging chili diseases. The purpose current study was to determine pathogenicity two important pathogens anthracnose disease, C. gloeosporioides (Penz) Penz. & Sacc. and capsici E.J. Butler Bisby, on several cultivars in laboratory. experimental design used a completely randomized factorial. first factor cultivar: Gandewa, Lado, Laris, Pilar, Provost, Bhaskara, Bara; second inoculation method: wounding non-wounding fruits. treated fruits were then incubated room temperature. Symptom severity assessed 48 h after every 24 thereafter for total four observations. results showed that inoculation, all highly resistant against with no symptom, except Gandewa moderately susceptible . However, infected both varying levels. Lado Pilar For cultivar reaction , Provost resistant, other susceptible.

Screening of Antagonistic Activity of Microorganisms against Colletotrichum Acutatum and Colletotrichum Gloeosporioides

The antagonistic activities of five biocontrol agents: Trichoderma harzianum, Gliocladium roseum, Bacillus subtilis, Streptomyces noursei and Streptomyces natalensis, were tested in vitro against Colletotrichum acutatum and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, the causal agents of anthracnose disease in fruit crops. The microbial antagonists inhibited mycelial growth in the dual culture assay and co...

pelB gene in isolates of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides from several hosts.

Colletotrichum gloeosporioides is an important pathogen for a great number of economically important crops. During the necrotrophic phase of infection by Colletotrichum spp, the degradative enzymes of plant cell walls, such as pectate lyase, clearly increase. A gene pelB that expresses a pectate lyase was identified in isolates of C. gloeosporioides in avocado pathogens. Various molecular studi...

The Colletotrichum gloeosporioides species complex

UNLABELLED The limit of the Colletotrichum gloeosporioides species complex is defined genetically, based on a strongly supported clade within the Colletotrichum ITS gene tree. All taxa accepted within this clade are morphologically more or less typical of the broadly defined C. gloeosporioides, as it has been applied in the literature for the past 50 years. We accept 22 species plus one subspec...

Physcomitrella patens Activates Defense Responses against the Pathogen Colletotrichum gloeosporioides

The moss Physcomitrella patens is a suitable model plant to analyze the activation of defense mechanisms after pathogen assault. In this study, we show that Colletotrichum gloeosporioides isolated from symptomatic citrus fruit infects P. patens and cause disease symptoms evidenced by browning and maceration of tissues. After C. gloeosporioides infection, P. patens reinforces the cell wall by th...

BIOTECHNOLOGICALLY RELEVANT ENZYMES AND PROTEINS Purification and identification of cutinases from Colletotrichum kahawae and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides

Colletotrichum kahawae is the causal agent of the coffee berry disease, infecting leaves and coffee berries at any stage of their development. Colletotrichum gloeosporioides is the causal agent of brown blight, infecting ripe berries only. Both fungi secrete the same pattern of carboxylesterases to the fermentation broth when cutin is used as carbon source. By using two different strategies com...
